Course Description
There are a variety of analgesics available to support pain management in aged care. This course presents the different types of analgesics and how to optimise and evaluate their effectiveness.
Learning Outcomes
– Define pain and pain management and identify different classifications of pain
– Recognise how to assess pain
– Identify the different types of analgesics and recognise how to use them effectively to treat pain
– Describe how to evaluate and modify the effectiveness of analgesic therapy
