Safeguarding: Adults at Risk
Course Description
Due to circumstances certain adults are considered at increased risk from abuse. By completing this course, you will develop greater awareness of common types of abuse and understand the role that staff play in managing the risk.
Learning Outcomes
* Define safeguarding and describe common types of abuse and how they might occur
* Recognise possible signs of abuse
* Know the actions required if abuse is suspected
* Recognise the role staff play in managing the risk of abuse by promoting a positive culture based on respect, dignity and personal choice
