Altura Learning (Formerly Aged Care Channel) is proud to proudly present their new course Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace. This course identifies what constitutes bullying and harassment in the workplace, how you can play a role in preventing these behaviours and explores how you should respond.
Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace is a new addition to Altura Learning’s Home Care library available from 23 February 2018, which we strongly encourage you to watch.
Did you know it is estimated 75% of employees have been affected by workplace bullying, whether as the recipient or as a witness to such behaviour? At any given time it is estimated nearly 10% of employees are currently being bullied in their workplace. Altura Learning stands against bullying and harassment and finds these figures totally unacceptable.
Researching this course we met with Home Care providers to uncover different experiences of both bullying and harassment that have occurred within the workplace. Watch as a real-life situation is explored of a care worker who faced both bullying and harassment, whilst detailing the actions she took and how the organisation responded to her allegations. Additionally, we present organisational strategies to prevent bullying from occurring and discuss the role and responsibility of any witnesses to such behaviours.
Let’s say no to bullying in the workplace and ensure it has no place within our industry!
