BRIDGE ANALYTICS VERSION 1
Bridge released their new Analytics platform in 2021. While the response has been positive overall, there have been a number of areas needing improvement. Now a new version of Analytics dubbed Advanced Analytics is in the works. The following article discusses the improvements that will be made.
THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE ANALYTIC
The new Analytics gave us the tools that we wanted from a best of breed Business Intelligence platform. For example, automated reporting (via email). This was a big leap forward from the Insights feature, which was difficult to maintain and customise. However with the new platform there were trade-offs. For example, reports containing “extra” data which we didn’t need. Bridge had Customers with different needs, and the reports were bloated to accommodate the needs of all stakeholders.
ENTER BRIDGE ADVANCED ANALYTICS
The Bridge development team worked out that a new version of Analytics was needed to overcome these limitations. The next generation of reporting (informally dubbed Advanced Analytics) will fix this by allowing users to create their own dashboards and customise existing reports.
CHALLENGES AHEAD FOR ADVANCED ANALYTICS?
While the new Advanced Analytics reporting provides greater flexibility, it might be too difficult for a great many of us. The platform will include a report design interface that is similar to tools such as Salesforce, which also include a report designer. Altura Learning is working closely with Bridge in order to offer training, and to produce simplified core reporting that will meet the needs of most Customers. The Bridge team is at work making a number of preparations such as documenting the constellation of tables and fields. This will allow users to better understand their purpose when they customise a report
WHEN WILL ADVANCED ANALYTICS BE AVAILABLE?
According to Bridge, the goal for the release of Advanced Analytics is the end of the 2022 calendar year. However due to high demand, work has already started. We’ll keep you up-to-date on the latest. Please feel free to let us know how you like the current Bridge Analytics, and what can be improved.
